Athletic Committee

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord and not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward.”

(Col. 3:23-24)

ATHLETIC MISSION STATEMENT

To glorify God by demonstrating through our staff and athletes our passion for the integrity, character, and person of Jesus Christ within the arena of athletics, while maintaining our commitment to the spirit of competition, sound fundamental skills, and disciplined teamwork.

ATHLETIC PHILOSOPHY STATEMENT

The athletic program at Tri-City Christian Academy compliments and contributes to a Christ-centered education. We seek to have a competitive program and we encourage our students to participate. The administration and coaches at Tri-City Christian Academy are Christians who believe and embrace the premise that the objective of our athletic program is to glorify our Lord Jesus Christ. Through healthy competition and learning to play, strive, win, and lose within the rules we teach students how to serve God in His kingdom. Tri-City Christian Academy coaches help develop these gifts in students by stressing commitment to team members, sacrifice of self to a larger goal, and gracious acceptance of defeat and victory. Sportsmanship is a big part of the overall sports program because it reflects our Christ-centered values and priorities.

When a student represents Tri-City Christian Academy the public sees a representative of not only one team, or one school, or even a community, but of Christ Himself. Therefore, athletes are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that brings honor to Christ, His school, and His kingdom. To participate in athletics in such a way is a great privilege and honor that we are pleased to offer our Tri-City Christian Academy student athletes.
