Biography
Administrative Assistant (WHS Campus) & MS/HS Teacher
Ms. Brianne Tarleton has been involved in education since the age of 7 when she first started working in her church’s Sunday School program. Ms. Tarleton enjoys working with students of all ages, and she especially enjoys working with the youth students at Restoration Church and drama/vocal/instrumental students at Studio 109.
While at Somersworth High School (2009 alumna), Ms. Tarleton had the opportunity to serve as the student choral director/accompanist/President in addition to giving private lessons to younger singers. She also served in Somersworth High School’s band program as student conductor/director/teacher’s assistant. These opportunities to work with young musicians led Ms. Tarleton to enroll in the University of New Hampshire’s music department with a major in Music Education.
Ms. Tarleton is currently completing studies towards her Bachelor’s degree through Charter Oak State College, with credits from her time at the University of New Hampshire and Great Bay Community College.
When she is not teaching, Ms. Tarleton enjoys playing the piano and singing, spending time with her friends and family, playing with her two tabby cats (Teddy and Ellie), and reading Jane Austen novels.
Ms. Tarleton finds constant guidance in the Bible, but one of her favorite passages for encouragement is found in Philippians 4:4-7.
“Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
