Biography

Mrs. Wilson

Educator of 6th grade Literature: Reading, Grammar, Spelling, & Pre-K-12 Visual Arts

My journey begins on “A Road Less Traveled” as a youngster I played the organ this intrigued
me so much that I wanted to learn to play another instrument. While in school I learned to play a
baritone horn, and a trombone, I was in the wind ensemble and orchestra enjoying every
moment.
During my school years I won the National Writing Competition Contest, the prize was a trip to
Washington D.C. where all the student winners and their families were taken on a tour of the
White House then gathered for a fantastic meal in the building, it was amazing!
I love to sing. I enjoyed being in the glee club, I also sang in a variety of choirs. In addition to
singing and playing instruments, I enjoy the rhythm of music and how this rhythm blends
wonderfully well into art. With the rhythm, beat, of music and a paintbrush, pen and ink, or
pencil, regardless of the medium time has a way of slipping away, where moments, and minutes
escape into lost hours. I have an Art diploma in “Outstanding Merit” for Creative Arts.
I have been a long-time Educator, starting well before the title became an occupation. While
attending USM for Special Education I played an intricate role in “Mainstreaming” and
developing a curriculum for Special Needs Students. I have been in the position of Teacher’s
Aide, Teacher’s Assistant. Substitute Teacher, Student Teacher, Teacher. I have been an
Educator and Director for Adult Religions Education for 25 years, a certified Lay Minister for
over 25 years, and a Lector for over 35 years, with a degree in Theological Studies, (Theology).
I have committed my life to Jesus Christ and extend this to others daily.
