IT Coordinator

Mr. Michael O’Shea Jr. is a graduate of Tri-City Christian Academy from the Class of 2022. Currently pursuing dual Associate of Science degrees in Cybersecurity Infrastructure and Information Systems Technology at Great Bay Community College, Michael has developed a well-rounded technical foundation. His expertise spans network configuration and security, virtualization, and both hardware and software troubleshooting. He is particularly skilled in working with Cisco and Enterasys equipment, as well as simulation tools like Cisco Packet Tracer.

 

Michael’s experience includes building a physical SNORT IDS machine, creating a hybrid virtual/physical home lab for penetration testing, and gaining proficiency with tools such as Wireshark, SGUIL, and SNORT. He’s confident across multiple platforms, including Windows and various Linux distributions, and is experienced in programming with Python, Java, JavaScript, and familiar with C and C++.

He has completed rigorous coursework in Advanced Network Security, Virtualization Essentials, and Enterprise Networking, and holds a working knowledge of many core topics covered in the CompTIA A+ and CCNA certifications.

 

Michael thrives in collaborative, challenge-driven environments and is eager to apply his technical skills and problem-solving mindset to support the school’s IT initiatives. As IT Coordinator, he is committed to maintaining secure, efficient systems and helping students, staff, and faculty navigate technical issues with confidence.
