Biography
Teaching Assistant & Substitute Teacher
Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education - Grand Canyon University (2024)
Ms. Hyzer has over two decades of experience in homeschooling and classroom education, and brings a deep commitment to academic excellence and Christian character to Tri-City Christian Academy. As a ten-year member of the TCCA team, she has contributed in diverse roles—teacher, aide, substitute, and mentor—while supporting students in their academic and spiritual growth.
Tri-City Christian Academy’s mission statement and values are in line with Ms. Hyzer’s own outlook and moral practice. Consequently, while raising her four children, TCCA has been a wonderful liaison and supporter of her family’s homeschool endeavors—participating in regular and elective classes, attending field trips, participating in sports and theater, college and military preparation testing, and commencement ceremonies.
Ms. Hyzer holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University, as well as certifications in teaching in New Hampshire, medical coding, and veterinary science. She promotes self-directed learning and strives to foster a positive, faith-centered environment. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys reading, hiking, fishing, and traveling (especially to visit her five grandchildren).
“The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail. They are new every
