Biography
Mrs. Edgar grew up in a Navy family and lived at various locations in the USA. She served often with her mom working in church ministries such as Cherub Church and VBS, going on to serve on her own in such ministries and as an assistant teacher in 4-H for middle school students. Susan worked as church secretary to Pastor Welch at Tri-City Covenant Church and also was involved in the bus ministry there with her husband, Paul.
Mrs. Edgar retired from her secretarial job to raise a family and started her own tutoring business in September of 1979, helping struggling learners to succeed. In 1986 she piloted TCCA’s Before and After School care program, and later went on to institute a Summer School Program for students with learning needs. She has also served TCCA in other capacities over the years such as Tutoring Instructor, Kindergarten Department Head, and substitute teaching in various departments. Susan also was the founder and administrator of Cross Road Kindergarten and School in Dover, NH from 1995-2010. Cross Road Kindergarten and School served students from age 3 through 2nd grades and was, at that time, a ministry of TCCA. Susan “retired” from Cross Road Kindergarten and School to serve again at TCCA, where she now serves as the Administrative Assistant for TCCA’s Rocky Hill Road campus.
Mrs. Edgar lives in Somersworth, NH with her husband Paul. They have 7 children and 11 grandchildren, and they enjoy hiking together in the mountains of New Hampshire. Susan also loves to read, knit, write, garden, and enjoys various crafting hobbies.
