Remote Learning at TCCA 1-4-2021 through 1-15-2021

December 30, 2020

Dear TCCA Families, Faculty, and Staff:

We can be thankful that our school has progressed this far into the 2020 – 21 school year with minimal disruption due to COVID.  However, with a significant number of newly diagnosed cases among TCCA directors, teachers, parents, and students, it has been decided to switch to remote learning for all grades, both campuses, for the first two weeks (the weeks of January 4th and January 11th) of school after our Christmas vacation concludes.  This will comply with both mandated and recommended measures as interpreted by our school nurse.

Deep sanitization measures have already begun and will continue into next week, so our school will be safe when we return to in-person learning in mid-January.

Our faculty has already become as ready for this as possible - given the many cases of other schools having to take similar measures.  You will naturally have many questions regarding books, procedures, etc.  Your child’s teachers and our department directors will be the first and best source of help and detailed information on these issues.

I wanted to provide as much lead time as possible for our school families to make any necessary arrangements for Monday, January 4th.  Thank you for the flexibility and positive Christian spirit that will be required to continue making 2020 – 21 a successful school year for our students.

Sincerely in Christ,

Paul T. Edgar

Head of School

PS: It’s not all bad.  Today, we welcomed Grace Katherine Edgar into the world!  Life goes on.
