International Students

TCCA’s doors are now open to the world. In 2017, we received SEVIS certification to issue I-20/F-1 visas to high and middle school students wishing to study in the United States. We are certified for grades 6-12.

The TCCA program seeks to provide international students with the opportunity to increase their English proficiency and receive an excellent education, all while being immersed in American culture. Our program seeks to address the whole person: intellectual and spiritual, social and personal.

International students study alongside TCCA students, enjoying the same opportunities to participate in athletics, projects, clubs, and leadership activities. Students also have the opportunity to live with an American host family during the school year.

The Christian commitment of the school is integrated into every facet of the curriculum. Students participate in daily morning prayer (chapel) and Bible classes. Students are taught to see the world through the lens of a biblical worldview. We believe that this provides a moral foundation that will benefit students from any religious background.

At TCCA, we have international students stay with families that have a close connection to our school. Host families have undergone a screening process, which includes an application, interview and background check. The homestay program has several benefits, including:

  • Accelerated English acquisition in a total immersion environment.
  • Ongoing cultural adaptation and understanding
  • Personal attention from a family
  • The homestay includes:

    • A room
    • Three meals a day
    • Transportation to and from school

All applicants must submit a TOEFL Jr. or iTEP SLATE in order to demonstrate English proficiency. ELL tutoring will be provided on an as needed basis. We want you to succeed!
