High School Department Chairman, Secondary Instructor (Bible, History, English)

BS in Political Science with a minor in History - Suffolk University (Boston, Massachusetts)
JD - Suffolk University Law School

Mr. Correia entered the field of Christian education in 2003. By his own admission, this was not a profession for which he was formally prepared. In fact, for the duration of his post-secondary education, John prepared for a career as a criminal prosecutor. After high school, John commenced his collegiate studies first securing his Bachelor of Science degree from Suffolk University in Boston with a major concentration in political science and a minor in history, thereafter securing his Juris Doctor degree from the university's law school.

Mr. Correia had worked in the Suffolk County District Attorney's office in Boston for ten years, initially as an entry level clerk while attending school, thereafter appointed an assistant district attorney in 1998. In 1999, being somewhat disenchanted with the criminal justice system, He accepted an invitation by his brother-in-law to join his start-up high technology recruiting agency out of S. Easton, Massachusetts principally in the capacity of a recruiter, but also to serve functionally as the company's general counsel. Mr. Correia remained in that employ until he was compelled to resign when the high tech bubble burst and plagued the industry from 2001- 2003.

It was at this point that Mr. Correia was invited to join the teaching staff of TCCA by then High School Director, Mrs. Claudette Lewis. Since that time, Mr. Correia has not looked back. "Although I never anticipated a career in teaching, with every passing year I am more assuredly convinced that this is what I was destined to do," he joyfully affirms. "The opportunity to participate so intimately in the precious lives of our youth is a unique and sobering privilege that warrants our full and unimpeded attention." Continuing, he asserted that "secondary level instructors possess a weighty position of trust as parental representatives providing a necessary compass to our students so that they are well equipped to navigate through the complexities of life in pursuit of God's eternal purposes for their lives. What greater responsibility is there?"

Mr. Correia lives near Tri-City Christian Academy with his lovely bride of twenty-seven years,
