Music ProgramUpcoming Concert Schedule
TCCA offers a variety of musical activities including band, special choral groups, piano and other musical instrument lessons. Elementary Band - Grades 4 and up
The purpose of Elementary Band is to begin to familiarizing our students with musical performance and is preparation for later involvement in our Concert Band. Concert Band - Grades 7-12
The TCCA Concert Band meets for sectional rehearsals and one full band rehearsal each week during the school day. At band class, students learn a variety of music, while preparing for performances in the Christmas and spring concerts as well as the graduation ceremonies in June. Elementary Select Chorus - Grades 4-6
Elementary Select Chorus will meet on Tuesdays 9:15am-10:15am and is open to 4th-6th grade by audition only. The group is limited to 10 - 12 kids. We will perform two concerts each year, one at Christmas and one in the Spring. Attendance at concerts is mandatory. We will also be performing at two competitions this year. Music In the Parks in Agawam (MA) and Performing Arts Consultants also in Agawam. Both competitions are great experiences for the children, and they get to spend the day at Six Flags after each competition. High School Select Chorus
High School Select Chorus will meet on Tuesdays and Thursday during the school day. This group, for the serious singer, is open to only 10 students by audition only and is a graded class. We will be singing fun, upbeat songs, as well as traditional, madrigals and spirituals. We will perform at two concerts per year, Christmas and Spring, and we will also participate in choir festivals and outreach to nursing homes and other events in the area. This is our competition Chorus, having won Gold in our first competition, and last year place 3rd with a rating of Excellence in the New England Region with an Outstanding Vocalist award for our division, we are ready to hit the competition road again. This year we will be singing in the Music in the Parks competition in Agawam (MA) as well as Performing Arts Consultants in Agawam. We are also planning a trip to Williamsburg or New York, and details regarding that will be coming soon. Performance Band

Piano and Voice lessons began on September 8, 2009. There are still openings available for piano students age 6 and up and voice students 4th grade and up. Please call or email Ms. Sharon. Most lessons will be held during the school day. Lesson cost this year is $20.00 for a 30 minute lesson each week. Payment is due at the 1st lesson of each month. Private Instrument Lessons
