Accreditation

New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC)

The New England Association of Schools and Colleges has granted Tri-City Christian Academy affiliation with their organization in the category of Candidate for Accreditation. This represents a significant step forward for TCCA as we strive to enhance the full profile of educational service we offer to our community. The report from the NEASC visiting committee, after a thorough one-day visit, was highly favorable, and we will now be focusing on preparing for the major step of full accreditation, which we tentatively believe will be achieved during our 2012-13 school year.

The New England Association of Schools and Colleges is the oldest accreditation organization in the country. Their motto is "Demanding Excellence, Honoring Difference." Since we have become familiar with NEASC, it has become increasingly clear that they are a very good fit for TCCA. NEASC provides accreditation services to some of the very best schools in our state, such as Phillips Exeter Academy, Brewster Academy, and St Thomas Aquinas High School - and many others.

Much committee work is now before us as we continue the work of ensuring compliance with specific NEASC standards. Some staff and volunteers have already been assigned to committees, but we welcome more volunteer participation from our school parents, faculty, and members of our Parent Alumni Association. If you would like to discuss specific areas where your input could be used in this team effort, please contact Mr. Edgar.

We look forward to the next eighteen months with great excitement and hope. TCCA will be entering a period where even greater broad-based teamwork and cooperation will necessarily result in an even greater learning institution for our children.

Nicene Schools International (NSI)

Tri-City Christian Academy currently has an accreditation through a small Christian school oversight agency, Nicene Schools International (NSI), primarily overseeing certain key aspects of our school's Bible and Chapel programs. Certain religious standards, such as our consistently teaching the Lord's Prayer, the Nicene Creed, the Psalms, and the Ten Commandments receive great emphasis from NSI.

"Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel." Isaiah 7:14
