High School

A Private Christian High School in Somersworth, New Hampshire

A challenging curriculum awaits the TCCA high school student. Among other things, practical applications of mathematics culminating in the study of calculus as well as competency in literary analysis and effective composition are emphasized. Essentially, the development of critical thinking in the context of a thoroughly Biblical worldview in science, history, and Bible subjects all serve to prepare Tri-City Christian Academy graduates to positively impact the world in their respective callings.

Electives

Tri-City Christian Academy may be considered a small school by some, but our elective offerings, which begin at the Seventh Grade, are versatile and are designed to serve the wide ranging needs of today's students. Individual music lessons, chorus, band, art, drama, yearbook, culinary arts, early childhood education, and many elective computer courses are the primary elective offerings each semester. Apprentice vocational programs outside of school have also been individually designed and successfully completed by qualified students.

SOS/Computer Lab

Educational technology is one of our profession's most exciting and rapidly expanding areas. Tri-City Christian Academy has invested heavily in some courses that we believe were more effectively presented in a computerized, multi-media format. We have incorporated a program which we refer to as 'SOS' ('Switched On Schoolhouse' by the Christian curriculum provider, Alpha Omega) into our two high school computer labs. Not all our subjects and grade levels participate in this pioneering educational effort. Most of our courses are taught using traditional methods. But the courses that have been presented in this new interactive format have proved to be highly successful and very engaging to our students. Versatility in remedial work and elective offerings has been another great benefit of the SOS curricula.
