Summer Programs

Experiencing ALL that summer has to offer!

This summer flew by so fast! I want to thank all the campers, parents and counselors that helped make this year the best ever. We went to so many places and learned so many things. Friendships were established that will last a lifetime. I am truly blessed to have each one of these children and adults in my life. God smiles on TCCA Summer Camp each year!! . ~~Mrs. Mary Knapp, Director

Notes from Camp:

7/ 26/11 - "I asked the campers why Mrs. Knapp works with the children and counselors at summer camp this morning. I wanted to know if they "got it". Some had great thoughts "so you can teach us to be good.", "so we can have fun and not sit home all summer", "so our parents can go to work", "so we can go on field trips", "so you can make money" (I had to chuckle) ... The teaching us to be good hit a warm spot with me. Yes that is one of my goals every summer. But when I asked them WHY would I want them to be good....they had a blank stare. I told them that being good at summer camp (yes we have had the bullying talks) is right BUT more importantly so they can learn to be good at...the yucky word....school. AND guess where else? HOME! Being good has rewards...not just from the prize box but from the heart as well. Some got it, some won't, some might later....bottom line....we can all use a lesson on "being good" from time to time!"
