High School Dress Code

 

 

Girls Dress Code

Girls are expected to dress in a conservative fashion marked by modesty (I Timothy 2:9) and good taste according to the following guidelines.  No clothing should be sheer or form fitting according to TCCA standards.

  • Shirt/Blouse: Oxford style shirts and polo shirts are to be solid colored.
  • Skirts: Skirts should be tailored no higher than the top of the knee. Skirts must begin at the waist (no hip-huggers). Skirts may be flat front or pleated in solid colored black, navy, or khaki with no slits higher than the top of the knee.
  • Jumpers:  Jumpers should be black, navy or khaki.
  • Slacks/Pants/Shorts/Capris: Slacks/Pants (dress pants or Docker’s-syle pants) must begin at the waist (no hip-huggers) and must be tailored uniformly at the ankle. Pants of sweat suit style or material, jean material of any color, cargo pants, or excessively baggy pants are not allowed. Modest shorts are allowed during the months of September, October, May, or June. Dockers-style shorts or capris must come to the knee and be worn with a belt. Shorts and capris are allowed during the months of September, October, May, and June. Slacks and shorts should be solid colored black, navy, or khaki.
  • Belt/Tie:  A belt must be worn with pants that have belt loops.
  • Blazers:  Solid colored blazers in black, navy, or khaki may be worn.
  • Sweaters: Solid colored cardigan-style sweaters, sweater vests, and pullover sweaters are considered part of the uniform dress code and must be worn over a collared shirt.

Boys Dress Code

Boys are expected to dress in a conservative fashion according to the following guidelines:

  • Shirts: Shirts are to be oxford style shirts or polo shirts. All shirts must be properly buttoned and remain tucked in at all times. Dress/oxford style shirts and polo shirts, are to be solid colored and must be tucked in at all times.  
  • Slacks/Pants/Shorts: Solid colored, Dockers-style shorts (navy, black or khaki), which must come to the knee and be worn with a belt, are allowed during the months of September, October, May, and June.
  • Belt/Tie: A belt must be worn at all times for grades 4-12. (Elementary boys are required to wear ties on Wednesday mornings for chapel). (Middle/ High school boys must wear a tie on Wednesdays and Communion days ). The tie must be properly tied at the neck.
